Summary: Laboe Naval Memorial is located in the small town of Laboe not far from Kiel on Germanys north coast. Originally a memorial for Germanys WW I war dead, later commemorating the dead of both world wars and in 1954 sailors of all nationalities. Start your tour at the small technical museum, then walk under ground pass the remebrance hall & up under the tower itself. From top of the tower you have an excellent view over the area & of course the submarine U-995 85 mtrs below on the beach. Make sure to visit the sub & if possible the submarine memorial in nearby Möltenort.
