Summary: One thing comes to mind entering the museum grounds, it's different! And indeed it is, but in a good way, cramped with stuff everywhere. Planes, cars, trains, just about everything you can imagine. Since this being a technical museum the collection include a large portion of civilian items as well. For the military oriented visitor highlights are the large vehicle & aircraft exhibition inside complete with an armoured train, aircraft collection on the walk-on roof area and not least the "tank garden" out back. Make sure to take a tour in the only two supersonic commercial aircraft to be series produced, Russian Tupolev Tu-144 & the Concorde. Fully accessible on top of the building. Not to be found together anywhere else worldwide.

Rating: As said before a very different museum as well as very interesting. Lots of items are very rare & sometime one of a kind, truly a unique collection. There is also a museum branch in the nearby town of Speyer if you have the time.
