Country & City: Sweden, Axvall.
Date of visit: 2008/05/17
Summary: The Swedish Armour Museum shows around 100 AFVs, most of which are of Swedish origin. Sweden has a long history of manufacturing it's own AFVs with Bofors, Landsverk & Hägglunds among the leading companies. Here is 90 years of history starting with Strv m/21 up to The Leopard 2 prototype. Among the ww II vehicles are a rare Panzer I, a Hetzer II and an original Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer. The latter shown beside a post-war Swiss G 13 for comparison. When so many swedish vehicles on display it differs significantly from many other armour museums where you often se the same tanks all over.
