Summary: On the outskirts of Berlin you will definintely find everything concerning German air power at the Luftwaffenmuseum Gatow. The museum grounds are large, very large so wear the right shoes, there will be some walking! Lined up on the runways and tarmac are some 60-70 aircraft along with anti-aircraft missiles & radar equipment. The control tower with adjacent building is open to the public as well as Hangar 3 & 7, each covering some 3000 square mtrs. Renovated & rare aircraft is kept in the hangars together with a fine collection of engines, armaments, uniforms & related equipment. Only thing missing is more ww II planes to make the collection complete but the museum makes up for that in every other way.
Rating: Just great! Always better when an air force museum i located at an actual airfield, the all over impression multiply by far.
