Country & City: Germany, Munster
Date of visit: 2007/07/13
Summary: This is a German museum at it's best. All vehicles are in a perfect state and there are lots of them! This place cover most of armoured vehicle development since world war I to present day. Not only a vast collection, there are rarities like the israeli Merkava, german Königstiger and a ww I german Sturmpanzer A7V replica among others. About 40 tanks from ww II alone, then there is the cold war era and modern tanks like Leopard 2. An exhibition of special interest is the uniform & weapons hall containing most common handguns, rifles & machine guns. The museum has recently made an extension to house more of the outdoor collection away from the elements.
Rating: A must if you want to see tanks for half a day or more. Top scores!
