Summary: RAF Hendon is home to a say the least, extensive aircraft collection. Shown in four large hangars/buildings at former Hendon Aerodrome is much of RAF history from the early 1900's until present day. This is a learning museum with many information panels & interactive displays, still without interfering with the aircraft collection itself, which is good from both points of view. Even though located very central in London big planes like Lancaster, Sunderland & Vulcan are shown here.

Rating: This is acknowledged as one of the greatest aviation museums in the world, as well as one of the biggest. We can't argue with that, just make sure to spend a day here. You will not regret it if interested in military aircraft.
